Capabilities
The instrumentation capabilities of Selim Laboratories
include:
|
> Liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) with
electrospray/atmospheric pressure ionization (ES-API) and atmospheric pressure
chemical ionization (APCI). This is a highly advanced multi-dimensional triple
quad mass spectrometer system with a broad range of capabilities for the
analysis of small and large molecular weight organic compounds in complex
matrices. This includes analytes such as pesticides, toxins, drugs,
metabolites, peptides, proteins, and oligonucleotides.
|
|
|
|
> Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS and GC/MS/MS) with
capabilities for the analysis of volatile and semi-volatile chemicals, using
thermal desorption, and purge and trap techniques. |
|
> Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) with on-line GC/MS or LC/MS for the
analysis of non-volatile and thermally unstable compounds in solid matrices. |
|
> Ion chromatography (IC), liquid chromatography (HPLC) with post column
derivation with various modes of detection (e.g., electrochemical,
fluorescence and diode array UV) for selected analysis of inorganic ions,
organic acids, pesticides, and mycotoxins.
|
|
> Capillary electrophoresis/mass spectrometry (CE/MS/MS) for the separation
and identification of peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides, chiral compounds,
and drug impurities.
> Other instrumentation includes Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry (FTIR),
atomic absorption (AA), and enzyme immunoassay (EIA).
